Security Systems Technician – Calgary AB

We are currently hiring for the Security Systems Technician in Calgary AB

Responsibilities:
-
Installation and service of IP based and analog CCTV (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon).
-
Installation and service of Access Control systems (CCURE, Kantech, Genetec, Avigilon).
-
Installation and service of Nurse Call systems (Ascom).
-
Deploy Windows operating systems and applications (SQL, Microsoft Server, Management Studio, Server Manager) on servers and workstation.
-
Installation and programming of networking hardware (i.e., switch, routers, WA, etc.)
-
Lead various projects day-to-day, working under the assigned Project Manager
-
Review and interpret electrical drawings.
-
General housekeeping of work area.
-
Compliance of Delco Security Health and Safety program.
-
Documentation of “As Built” changes to installation design.
-
Use the Delco Nucleus application time sheet module (training provided).
-
Out-of-town travel.

Requirements:
-
High school diploma
-
Minimum 3 years of experience installing emergency communications/security systems such as CCTV and access systems.
-
Experience with AV, networking, and healthcare.
-
Eligibility for PWGSC security clearance.
-
Have a valid driver’s license.
-
Ability to work independently as well in a group environment.
-
Strong computer and networking skills required as well as strong attention to detail.
-
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
-
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Comfortable working in correctional and law enforcement environments.

Desired:

Electronics, networking or security certification from an accredited organization.

We are currently hiring for the position of Project Manager in Calgary. The successful candidate will have extensive network skills and experience in security, AV, and nurse call systems.

Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
-
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
-
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
-
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
-
Sub contractor coordination.
-
Sales team support.
-
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
-
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
-
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
-
Report and escalate to management as needed.
-
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
-
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
-
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications:

5+ years experience in security, AV, network, and computer work.

PMP - Certified Associate in Project Management - PMI

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Electronics network and/or programming certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training is an asset.

Comfortable with travel.
