Have you ever considered obtaining your CHPA? We might be able to help! Your Alberta Chapter IAHSS committee is proud to be sponsoring up to 5 applicants and provide financial support for the successful candidates.

 

Who can apply?

In order to apply for CHPA sponsorship, you must be a member in good standing with IAHSS in the province of Alberta and have been accepted as a CHPA candidate by IAHSS. Details for CHPA qualification can be found here.

 

Application process

If you feel you meet these requirements and would like to be considered, please email the Alberta Chapter Chair, Ed Colbourne at ed.colbourne@ahs.ca and submit a short paragraph about why you feel this designation would benefit yourself both personally and professionally. Candidates will be approved on a first come, first served basis. Once a candidate has been approved by IAHSS Alberta as a sponsorship candidate, they will have twelve (12) months to obtain their CHPA designation. If the applicant does not meet these requirements within the allotted time, they will no longer be considered for reimbursement.

How can I write the Exam?

Once you've become an CHPA candidate and have studied the exam content, you're ready to write! The exam must be completed in the presence of a proctor. There a several requirements that must be met in order to become a proctor for the purposes of the CHPA exam. The candidate is responsible for making these arrangements. Terms and conditions

This sponsorship will cover the application fee in actual costs for the IAHSS CHPA exam in CAD funds in the amount paid for by the candidate at the time of application (proof of payment required). The sponsorship will only be paid after the CHPA exam is successfully passed by the applicant. Costs for re-testing will not be covered, nor will costs for study materials or related fees and expenses. The candidate agrees to have their name, photo and other information as mutually agreed between the parties used for promotional purposes by the chapter.
